TIPS FOR SOLVING QUESTIONS RELATED TO SPEED, TIME AND DISTANCE:
1. $MF#% \text{Speed} = \dfrac{Distance}{Time} $MF#%
2. $MF#% \text{Time} = \dfrac{Distance}{Speed} $MF#%
3. Distance = Speed x Time
4. km/hr to m/s conversion:
$MF#% \text{1 km/h} = \dfrac{5}{18} \text{m/s} $MF#%
5. m/s to km/hr conversion:
$MF#% \text{1 m/s} = \dfrac{18}{5} \text{km/h} $MF#%
6. If the ratio of speeds of A and B is a : b, then the ratio of time taken by them to cover the same distance = b : a.
7. Suppose a man covers a certain distance at x km/hr and an equal distance at y km/hr. Then,
the average speed during the whole journey is
$MF#% \dfrac{2xy}{x+y} $MF#%
